Creative Black Teens (CBT) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting and empowering the next generation of Black creatives. Founded by Jayson Shepard, CBT was born out of a desire to provide young Black artists, musicians, filmmakers, designers, and digital creators with the resources, mentorship, and opportunities they need to thrive.

Our mission is simple yet powerful: to break down the systemic barriers that too often prevent Black teens from accessing creative industries. We aim to create a safe and inclusive space where creativity knows no limits and where young voices can be amplified and celebrated.

Through workshops, mentorship programs, collaborative projects, and showcases, CBT fosters innovation, self-expression, and community. Whether it’s crafting garments, producing films, composing music, or building digital content, we provide the tools and support for teens to bring their visions to life.

At CBT, we believe creativity has the power to change lives and communities. By investing in the talents and dreams of Black teens, we’re shaping a future where diversity and innovation are at the forefront of every industry.
